- 1 / 5By SMSI have been to the Back Porch numerous times and have never been in a state of inebriation.
In my experiences the owner has never been anything other than obstreperous, downright nasty, to anyone other than her bar regulars; and it happens to be one of the filthiest places in Beaufort. Possibly a payoff to the health department?
I take no pleasure and gain nothing by writing this review but feel it needs to be shared.
I cannot imagine where the good reviews come from.
I will continue to go in order to support our local bands and to enjoy the music. We are a very small venue on the Beaufort river with an awesome view and awesome staff. The only time I get "rude" as they call it is when I am dealing with a drunk customer and just holding my own. We have a very clean kitchen and have an a rating. Some of the comments that are detrimental are written by customers no longer welcome at the restaurant due to their inability to be able to socialize with out getting drunk.
